Fostering Family Ministries has a purpose to unite foster families with support from a church family. The goal is to surround a foster family and provide needs such as assistance with meal preparation, child care, housework, and any other needs that may arise.
There are nearly 100 neglected and abused children in Ashland County alone that are in need of loving homes. Although not all individuals are called to become a foster parent, we can all serve in some way. Our vision for Grace is to have church families come alongside foster families to support and nurture their ministry.
To rise up a team of 4-6 individuals that come around one foster family, offering support as a child mentor, a family helper, a team leader, or an alternate caregiver. Fostering Families offer various training sessions to better equip and inform individuals of the roles they will play in the lives of the families.
Grace Church alone holds 5 foster families that are in need of support. Our goal is to have a team around each family by the summer of 2018.
