Are you interesting in growing deeper in your relationship with Jesus? Do you crave a community to walk this journey with you? At Grace Church, we believe you will benefit from developing intentional relationships with people who have the same goal of transformation—and a small group is the ideal place for that. Groups that are a safe place to be real.
Interested in learning how you can get involved? We’re launching new Small Groups in April 2019. Groups will be launching throughout the year and meet in various locations throughout homes in Ashland County.
Small Groups FAQs
What’s the difference between a Grace Group and a Small Group?
A Grace Group meets on Sunday mornings on the Grace Church campus. A Small Group will meet in homes, outside of our typical Sunday morning schedule.
What is a Small Group?
Small Groups at Grace Church are comprised of six to eight people that meet in a home for fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and accountability. We offer Small Groups for all ages and life stages. We believe that significant life change best takes place in the setting of intentional relationships. Small group environments are designed to celebrate the successes and good times of life, as well as comfort one another in the tough and disappointing times. It’s a place to be encouraged, equipped, and challenged to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ.
When do Small Groups at Grace meet?
Each Small Group decides when and where it wants to meet. Most groups meet at least three times a month. As individuals seek to join a Small Group, we help them find people that are meeting on a particular night and may be in similar life phase. Our goal is that these groups will commit to meet together for 12 to 24 months.
If I’m currently already in a Grace Group, does that mean I need to join a Small Group?
Super! We celebrate that you’re already involved with a Grace Group on Sunday morning here at Grace.
I’d like to lead a Small Group in my home. What’s next?
We’d love to connect with you and begin a conversation about making a Small Group happen in your home. We’re offering a Small Group Leaders on Wednesday, March 6 here at Grace.
What would be expect of me in a Leaders' Role of a Small Group?
Small Group leaders are responsible for providing vision, direction, and support. Leaders facilitate conversations around a specific topic while offering help and encouragement. Small Group leaders are only successful when they are personally growing in their own relationship with Jesus Christ and encouraging the group members' growth as well. This requires time spent in the group meeting, occasional meetings with group members outside of the normal meeting time, and participation in ongoing training and development opportunities provided by the church.
